Downtown Rome Wedding Photographer | Whitney + Zach
Ryan and I loved having the opportunity to photograph Whitney and Zach’s downtown Rome wedding! The ceremony was at 2nd Avenue Baptist, the same location where Whitney’s parents had been married years ago.
The reception was at one of our favorites, the Forrest Place Ballroom on Broad Street. With The Season Events hosting and Two Can Do catering, it was an occasion to remember.
The Preparations
Whitney is a stylist at Elle Salon on the Square, and her team was there to support her through every aspect of the wedding.
Whitney and her mom exchanged gifts while getting ready. Both gave each other beautiful handkerchiefs.
The Guys
Zach and his guys spent the morning of their big day skeet shooting.
The First Look
These two below were my personal favorites from the entire day, and they are the direct result of working with a great wedding team. We were planning on doing the first look at another location in downtown Rome, but we discovered that it had been double booked. So Holly, owner of The Season Events, made a few phone calls and received permission for us to use one of the most iconic homes Between the Rivers, The Columns. We would like to thank the Wallace’s for allowing us to use their beautiful home.
The Wedding Party
The Ceremony
Whitney’s grandmother was the organist for the ceremony. She was a little nervous going into it, because the church decided to replace the organ the week prior to the wedding. She told me that she had to nag them non-stop to get it done in time, and they finally completed it the day before the rehearsal dinner.

The Downtown Rome Wedding Reception
The music was done by a local band called Little Known Letter.
Thank you Whitney and Zach for having us be a part of your downtown Rome wedding. We had a blast!
